Transcript ARTICLE XII. DELEGATES TO CONFERENCES AND CONVENTIONS Section 1. National NOW Conferences and Conventions. Delegates and alternates to the national conference and conventions of NOW shall be elected in the number, manner, and timing determined by the national bylaws and National Credentials Committee. All members shall be notified by the chapter newsletter and by announcement at program and business meetings the month prior to this election. Delegates and alternates shall be elected at a program meeting and shall be certified by the president. Section 2. Texas NOW Convention. Delegates and alternates to the Texas State NOW convention shall be elected in the number and timing determined by the bylaws of Texas State NOW. All members shall be notified by the chapter newsletter and by announcement at program and business meetings the month prior to this election. Delegates and alternates shall be elected at a program meeting and shall be certified by the president. Section 3. Texas NOW Council. Delegates and alternates to the Texas NOW Council shall be elected in the number determined by the bylaws of Texas State NOW. Delegates and alternates shall be elected at the January program meeting and shall be certified by the president. ARTICLE XIII. GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE Any member who has a grievance concerning the commission of an action or the omission of an action by the chapter or its officers may submit that grievance in writing to the president, the recording secretary and the editor of the chapter newsletter for presentation to the membership. The grievance shall be submitted to the membership for their disposition at the next business session provided the members have received notice 10 days prior to that meetinge ARTICLE XIV. OPERATING PROCEDURES AND POLICIES There shall be a set of operating procedures and policies for Bay Area Chapter which must detail the items referred to in these bylaws and may contain any other operating rules the chapter wishes. The procedures and policies must be accepted by a 2/3 vote of the members present and voting at a business session and may be amended by a 2/3 vote of the members present and voting at a business session following written notice 10 days prior to the business session. ARTICLE XV, PARLIAMENTARY AUTHORITY The rules contained in Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised shall govern this chapter in all instances in which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with these bylaws. ARTICLE XVI. AMENDMENTS TO BYLAWS Provisions of these bylaws not governed by the Charter and Bylaws of NOW may be amended by a 2/3 vote of those members present and voting at any regular meeting of the chapter, provided notice of the proposed amendments shall have been given at two previous meetings or in writing to every member at least two weeks {Ik days) before the meeting at which the amendment is to be acted upon.
