Transcript b. Nomination Process. All nominations for chapter elective offices shall be by self-nomination. Self-nominations may be made from the floor at the chapter meetings in October and at the November program meeting. Section 2. Elections. The elective officers of the Bay Area Chapter shall be elected at the November program meeting. Elections shall be by ballot when there is more than one nomimee for an office; otherwise a voice vote shall suffice. In the case of three or more nominees, a run-off will be held between the two nominees receiving the highest number of votes. A majority of the votes cast shall be necessary for election. ARTICLZ X. CHAPTER MEETINGS Section 1. Regular Meetings. The Bay Area Chapter shall meet 23 times each year. a. Program Meetings. Program meetings shall be held the first Thursday of each month for the purpose of presenting Information or raising awareness of NOW issues. Chapter business shall also be conducted at the program meetings. b. Business Meetings. Business meetings shall be held the third V/ednesday of each month, except the month of December, for the sole purpose of conducting the business of the chapter. Section 2. Elections Keating. The November program meeting shall be designated for the election of elective officers for the Bay Area Chapter. Section 3» Annual Meeting. The January program meeting shall be designated as the Bay Area Chapter annual meeting. Reports to the membership shall be given by each officer, elective and appointive, in which they summarize their activities and work during their term of office. Officers elected at the November program meeting shall assume office at the annual meeting; their installation shall take place following the reports of their predecessors. Section JK Quorum. a. Program Meetings. Those members present and voting shall constitute a quorum at all program meetings. b. Business Meetings. The presence of 7 members shall constitute a quorum at all business meetings. ARTICLE XI. PROPERTY The title to all property, funds and assets of the chapter, whether incorporated or not, shall a all times be vested in the chapter for the joint use of the members, and no member or group of members shall have any severable right to all or any part of such proerty. The chapter shall have complete control over the acquisition, administra- tion, and disposition of its property without the consent of the national NOW except that such property shall not be used for any purposes contrary to those of NOW.
