Transcript 2. b. Minimum Dues. The minimum annual dues of chapter members who are unable to afford the regular dues because of their economic status shall be determined by the Chapter Treasurer in accordance with the NOW standard for the minimum acceptable amount. The amount shall be allocated to the national, state and chapter organizations in accordance with the percentages set forth by NOW. Section 3* Payment of Dues. a. Continuing Members. Chapter members shall be notified of the impeding expiration of a member's dues by the Treasurer within thirty days (30) of the expiration date. The Chapter Treasurer shall remit national and state dues to the National Treasurer within thirty days (30) after receipt. b. Lapsed Dues. Any member whose national, state and chapter dues are in arrears ninety days (90) shall, after notice, be dropped from the rolls and shall have no privileges of membership, but may be reinstated upon application, acceptance, and payment of current dues. c. New Members. Dues of new members may be paid at any time. The Chapter Treasurer shall remit national dues to the National Treasurer and state dues to the State Treasurer within thirty days (30) after receipt. Section *K Budget. The annual chapter budget shall be prepared by the Finance Committee and approved by the membership at the first meeting of the fiscal year. Section 5» Audit. The Bay Area Chapter shall provide for such audit and control of funds as are necessary to assure their safekeeping and complete accounting. ARTICLE VII. OFFICERS Section 1. Elective Officers. The elective officers of the Bay Area Chapter of NOW shall be a president, a vice president, a recording secretary, and a treasurer. Section 2. Appointive Officers. The vre^ident shall appoint, with the consent of the membership such other officers as shall be deemed desirable to carry on the work of the chapter. Section 3» Terms of Office. The officers of the Bay Area Chapter shall take office January 1, and shall hold office for a term of one year or until their successors have been elected or appointed and have assumed office. No elected officers shall hold the same office for more than two consecutive terms. Section k. Vacancies. A vacancy in any office, other than that of the president, shall be filled by the membership for the remainder of the unexpired term. In case of vacancy in the office of the president, the vice president shall become president and shall serve for the unexpired term.
