__ Part.y-of-the-Month This Month
Due to the holiday season rush, there will be no chapter party this month or
next. The parties will resume in January, if people volunteer homes for
the parties at that time.
Nominations Committee __p_X_,
The Nominations Committee work is going slowly as we prepare for Austin NOW's
4th annual elections meeting in December. (Also, the Commltt spent October
preparing for, at, and recovering from the National NOW Conference.) Current
candidates for office are: Michellne Fountain for President; Donna Walker-
Ashworth for Secretary; and Sue Blcket for Treasurer. Several other persons
have been nominated, but have not yet been contacted for consent to run or
have not decided for certain. Obviously, the Committee has much work to do
during November to put together a full slate. You can help - if you want to
run for any office, or to nominate someone you think would make a good officer,
please call Mlkl Fountain or me.
_-_ lask Force Su« fllc*et
A Consclousness-Halsing Task Force is in the making, and we need your help.
We need people who can type and would be willing to type 5 or more pages of
C-H literature to distribute to the C-R groups. This is the most urgent
problem, and if you can help, please contact me, at 478-9085. I'd like to
gat the material ready by the November 12 orientation meeting. We also need
people who would help with publicizing the orientation meetings, getting the
news out about C-R groups and gettlg women together. This would not Involve
a lot of time, and is very much needed. Please, friends, if you have some
time, even a little, help us out. Contact the Women's Center or me, and
volunteer. Many people will thanlc you very auch.
