The information she reported was the result of research done by TWPC member Marianne Foley on the status of the ERA in Texas Legal Codes. Following is a sum- A Summary women's organizations; TWPC will ask that they join us in urging the Attorney General to make the ERA review process a high priority. The Texas Women's Political Caucus recently has conducted research to determine the process, speed and quality of written law in Texas relative to incorporation of the state's Equal Rights Amendment passed in 1972. With the loss of a national ERA, it seemed imperative that we determine what the status of the law in regard to women's rights in Texas consisted of in as rapid and thorough a manner as possible.
