Transcript SAVE FEMINIST PROGRAMMING AT KPFT! Did you know that KPFT plans to do away with Breakthrough? This listener- supported, non-profit station has decided to air daily, bland programming to improve their bottom line, with no consideration for the shows that will simply disappear, like Breakthrough and Wilde 'n' Stein, Pacifica's mission is "peace through diversity," yet they plan to undermine our diversity. Not only has Breakthrough been the hub of our community for over a decade, It has been the lifeline for closeted women and teenagers whose situations make It difficult to come out. To remove this lifeline is unconscionable. If this feels like right-wing, patriarchal rape to you, FIGHT BACK! Spread the word. Sign the petitions which will be circulating in the community over the next few weeks at local retail businesses and restaurants. Call Barry Forbes at KPFT. 526-4000, and ask him to explain, to your satisfaction, the rationale for these changes. If his answer is unacceptable to you, tell him so! Write letters! U OFF YOUR BACKS! DONT TAKE THIS LYING DOWN! Marianne Artemis DeBeauvoir J t O ° Q
