Lots of fun. Here's a hint just in •case this piece inspires you: call ahead and make a reservation. This show is hot-hot and popular to a standing-room-on1y point. And it changes every month, so you'll see a new show. Anyway, I like to be in the thick of things, so we looked for seats in the front. Several empty chairs in the first row, but each had a card saying "Reserved for Richards." So we found seats in the second row. "Ya' think Richards could be . . .?" "Naw," M0h, okay." About two minutes before the show started, a side door opened, and THE RICHARDS, date (dunno who, a tall wispy-haired guy), and two security guys hurried to the reserved seats. kids, I know find out, and right behind hair, and it just 1 ike it It was all I and Okay , you re dying to I was right, her. That IS looks close-up looks on TV. could do not to poke it see if my hand bounced. Actual 1v, she looked great, bright-eyed, dressed in a brilliant blue dress with shortish skirt, and obviously enjoying herself hugely. Nothing subtle about that laugh. We got mooned in the "Geeks Gallery" skit, sizzled with Chl-Chi ("These are They're new." ) by Patsy Clone "Tve got your La Bamba, my breasts. and surpr i sed as she sang, picture; she's got you." and removed said Picture along with pipe wrench, golf clubs, a record, a crutch, a saw, and lots more from her, urn, bosom. The governor appeared to be hav i ng a fine t ime , laughed almost continually, but what she was apparently waiting for was a 20 minute take-off on a musical comedy: "Annie Get your Goat." This romp was about the spec J a 1 sess i on, villa!nous lobbyists, ana our neroine whose gunbelt carries a six-shooter and a can of hair spray. It was enjoyed by one and all including its target. Quite an experience, watching Ann watch ANN. My best buddy tried to get an autograph and was stopped by a security guy who said if that ever got started they'd never get home that night. Oh. Right. I went for a handshake and got it along with an, "Aren't they wonderful?" Oh yes. And an evening to remember. This is NOT a poli tical article, which would, n at u rally, ou t r age abou t 60 % of WAND volunteers, 40% of readers, and 8 0 % of advert isers. If ever I see Clayton Williams wearing a blue dress at a comedy show, you may be sure I ' 1 1 wr i te an artide about him, too. \
