Transcript ♦ *^r *r "^ TEXAS WOMEN'S POLITICAL CAUCUS Newsletter Volume 4, Number 6 February, 1976 SEX IN THE TEXAS LEGISLATURE The sex of the legislature in Texas is predominately male and the Texas Women's Political Caucus is trying to change it this year. On Sunday, March 7th, in the Old Supreme Court Room, 3rd floor of the Capitol, at 10 a.m., the Policy Council will decide which legislative candidates to support. Targeting legislative districts has been a top priority this year, and on March 7th we need all of the local caucuses to send representatives to the meeting to participate in the endorsement process. The TWPC will also decide who to endorse in the statewide races—Railroad Commission, Justices of the Supreme Court and the Presiding Judge and Judges of the Court of Criminal Appeals. The Political Action Committee of the Caucus will meet in Austin on February 28th, 10 a.m., at 1403 Lavaca to review the questionnaires completed by the candidates in these races.
