Transcript N O W Bay Area ChaPter National Organization for Women NEWS VOLUME II, Number 10 October, 197U PROPERTY RIGHTS OF WOMEN UNDER TEXAS LAW Program Meeting - 8:00 P.M. October 3rd - Uniting Churchy Clear Lake City Attorney Carol Burke has taken the Texas Bar and will begin practice with a Houston Law firm this month. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from N.YJJ# and has been a faculty member of law at Bryant and Stratton College. She held an assistant attorney-general internship in the New York State Attorney General's Office, under Louis Lefkowitz, and was Director of Research and Evaluation for the Law Enforcement Administration Agency in New York City. She received the Outstanding Young Woman of America Award (New York) in 1972. Ms. Burke will answer questions from the floor on other aspects of the law and women's rights.
