Transcript CANDIDATES REPLY Fourteen out of 36 candidates for the Texas Senate and House of Representatives responded to a questionnaire prepared by the Legal-Legislative Task Force of Houston NOW. All responded favorably to the three questions involving women's rights. The questions asked if the candidates would support the Equal Rights for Women Amendment to the national constitution, a similar amendment to the Texas constitution, and revision of Texas statutes that discriminate on the basis of sex.
