The new location is Almeda Skate Center, 10750 Almeda Genoa off 1-45 (Almeda Mall exit). Turn left under 1-45 (going towards Pasadena). Almeda-Genoa will fork off to the right. Almeda Skate Center is just past the American Storage Warehouse, behind the car dealerships. $5 admission includes skate rental. A powerful series for people of color and white people, which has been well received by educators, caregivers and other world changers. 7 TUESDAY Myriam Miedzian, author of Boys Will Be Boys: Breaking the Link Between Masculinity and Violence will be featured at the Houston Area Womenjs Center Guild spring luncheon at 11:30 am at the River Oaks Country Club. Miedzian addresses the issues of male violence and offers valuable strategies to alleviate violence. Tables can be sponsored for $300 and individual seating purchased for $25. We will learn about treating the causes of "dis-ease" as well as some startling facts about the subconscious mind's influence on health.
