THANKS, THANKS AND MORE THANKS
Much gratitude to Karen and Manuel Fustes
of PHI Computer Services, who have graciously donated their services to computerize our mailing list and produce labels
for our newsletter. By next month, we will
have complete codes on the labels that will
tell you at a glance when your dues will
expire, whether you are a member of Texas
State and your ID keyline number. We appreciate this service very much. You can help
show it by sending clients to PHI if you
have the opportunity.
Many thanks also to Marie Stimson who has
donated a telephone answering machine to
the Chapter. It will be installed in the
home of Phyllis Tucker and Judy Hoffman
with the same number we have had - 947-9678.
This will be a big help for us to have a
constant contact point. Thanks, Marie.
You can help her, too, by supporting her
paperback book stores - Paperback Swap'n'
Shop. SUPPORT FEMINIST BUSINESSES.

THE PREZ STEPS DOWN
It has been a privilege and a pleasure to
have had the responsibility of representing
the Chapter as President. Many thanks to
all of you who supported the Chapter and
many times came through at the last minute
responding to my frantic call. You are
much appreciated and loved.
We have participated in some historic
events, including activities for ERA, reproductive rights, elections, textbook review,
homemakerfs rights and others. We have done
some successful outreach to the community
in spreading the word about our ideas and
identity. But we have only just begun! We
need to continue to expand our efforts to
modify and clarify our image as an organization so that everyone understands our motives
and methods and goals. Each of you is an
Ambassador for NOW wherever you go. Speak
to your neighbors, friends, relatives, business associates, anyone you know. Help demystify the erroneous image we have in the
press and media. We can be proud to be
feminists, advocates and leaders in the most
just and noble revolution/evolution in the
history of civilization: to eliminate sexism
and discrimination from this planet.
Thank you for giving me this challenging
experience. Hope to see you soon.
