Transcript VIEWPOINT JULY, 1982 Harris County Women's Political Caucus 4730 Willowbena Houston, Texas 77035 MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND THE TEXAS WOMEN'S POL.ITI.CAL CAUCUS CONVENTION July 16-18 Houston, Texas Hello Caucus Members - This newsletter is coming out a little early to give all of you extra time to make plans to attend the TWPC 11th annual convention July 16-18 (friday evening to Sunday afternoon). Houston has the honor of hosting the event this year. It has been made even more exciting because the convention is being held at the beautiful Inn on the Park on Woodway at the 610 Loop in the Galleria area. Enclosed are brochures (some of you will receive xeroxes because I ran out). Registration for the entire weekend is $50 for pre-registration and $60 on-site which includes all events, workshops, three meals and Margie Adam concert. For Saturday alone the cost is $25 and tickets can be purchased separately for Margie's concert at $15 each. Briefly, the schedule is as follows: Friday, July 16 5:30-8:00 pm registration with "Friends of the Caucus" reception from 7:00-8:30 pm. Separate tickets are $5 each. Other events follow. Saturday, July 17 Kathy Whitmire opens the day with a speech at 9:00 am. Workshops " follow. Ann Richards speaks at lunch. More workshops follow. Margie has been ewery involved with the women's movement through her music. Her concerts are super! ** Sunday July 18 More workshops. Brunch. Concluding in the early afternoon. Having the state convention here will give the Houston Caucus members a chance to meet other feminists around Texas. Plan on attending all or part of the convention. Or just come for "fun" to the friday night cocktail reception or Margie Adam on Saturday night.
