Transcript BAY AREA NOW BUSINESS MEETING MINUTES CON'T. Phyllis Tucker reported on the plans for the 10th Anniversary Party to be held on July 30, 7-11 PM, at the Rec Center on Dianna in Clear Lake City. Invitations will be printed and members will address them at the July 7 meeting. R.S.V.P. with a telephone number to call will be included in the invitations. Food will be furnished by members and will be assigned by the telephone tree. Drinks will be B.Y.O.B, with set-ups, wine, and beer available at a cash bar. Decorations will include streamers, table decorations, banner, and 10th Anniversay buttons. Music will be records. If anyone has records she would like to bring, these will be welcome. Lodging for our-of-town guests is needed, anyone who can provide lodging please volunteer. Phyllis reported on the Anti-Rape Rally which was held on June 9. She was disappointed in the small turnout of BA/NOW members, but said that the rally was good. Pat Kuhlmann gave a report on the C.R. group that is meeting now. This group will end on July 26 after ten sessions. A new group will start after July 1, and will meet on Monday nights, if there are enough persons interested in participating. Phyllis, acting treasurer, gave a report of $1033.74 ^balance in the treasury. Pat reported on a possible fund raising project that would involve having members participate in panels on various manufacturers' products. These volunteers would be paid $20.00 each and could donate this money back to the chapter. It was agreed to do this as long as the mailing list does not have to be given out. Pat could be the contact person for the research company instead of giving them the mailing list. Bonnie Huval announced the favorable Supreme Court decision on abortions which protects women's rights to abortion. The meeting was adjouned. Respectfully submitted, Donna Berend, secretary. ********** *************************************************************** TUNE IN TO WOHEN ON KPFT - 90.1 FM Radio Women's music/ sports, news & information, listener-participation Tuesdays - 8:00pm - A Woman's Place with Clara Kern 4th Tuesday ot each Month is NOW night ,, Fridays,8:00am to 10:30am, BREAKTR0UGH with Pokey Anderson & Cherry Wolf
