Transcript TEXAS WOMEN'S POLITICAL CAUCUS Volume 4, Number 4 k. i I December, 1975 Newsletter DELEGATE SELECTION PROCESS January 2--Not later than this date, the state party chairperson must certify with the Secretary of State the following information: 1) Texas will elect 130 delegates and 70 alternates; 2) In the Democratic primary, 98 delegates will be elected by Senatorial District (every Senatorial District will elect 3 delegates, except for districts 7,11,14,20 and 26, which will elect 4), and the remaining delegates and all alternates will be elected at the June State Convention; 3) In the Republican primary, three delegates will be elected from each Congressional District, and the remaining delegates and all the alternates will be elected at large by the State Convention in June. Feb. 2--Not later than 6 p.m. is the filing deadline for the May 1st primary.
