Transcript 26 GEO. L. MESKER & CO., ARCHITECTURAL IRON WORKS, EVANSVILLE, IND. SOMETHING NEW. Our line of galvanized sheet steel fronts are new, original and handsome designs. They are superior in every way to the old-style, time-worn designs that are shown in the catalogues of most manufacturers, which have not been improved or changed for years- Our designs are conceded by all to be elegant and attractive. They are so easily put up that the cost of setting one of our fronts will not exceed one-half the expense of setting one of the fronts of other manufacturers. Our work is so easily understood that no one can possibly have any trouble in placing it on a building. They make excellent fronts for frame buildings, and are also largely used for fronts of brick buildings, but they are not considered as nearly fireproof nor so substantial as our handsomely finished brick fronts, such as are shown on pages 3 to 19, inclusive, in this catalogue, on account of the wood studding with which the galvanized-steel fronts are usually backed These fronts can be backed with brick, to make them fireproof, if desired, which would add to the cost. We guarantee to give the best value obtainable in any style of front that we furnish. Design No. 1338. One-story galvanized-steel front, with cast-iron sill course and columns.
