Transcript you will find: Convenience, Beauty and Sanitation. Your Curtis-equipped kitchen can be as convenient as you wish it—for you design it yourself. It will be beautiful because the units are well-proportioned and made like fine furniture, and the decorating can be "As you like it." For sanitation, all Curtis cupboards have backs, ends, bottoms, to shut out ants and dirt. You will be disappointed if you buy "cheap," ready-made kitchen cabinets; or if you have your cupboards made on the job by men who are not experienced cabinet makers. Curtis has made fine woodwork since 1866. "QUITE THE NICEST CABINETS I HAVE EVER SEEN—" "Just a note to tell you how grateful we are for your advice concerning the Curtis cabinets. I went to Topeka on the Monday following the day you were here and bought them. They are now installed, and are quite the nicest cabinets I have ever seen. I am so thankful we didn't get metal ones, or have the carpenter build them. There is really no comparison." (Signed) Mrs. Marion Cook, Concordia, Kansas. Mrs. Cook wrote this letter to her friend, Mrs. Kathryn O'L McCarthy, of Hays, Kansas, who kindly sent a copy of it to Curtis. WHAT A THRILL WHEN FRIENDS SAY- a A fyuAl iWe y^MAA Kitchen" ND to the last one, they will say it about a Curtis Kitchen. It's neither hard work nor expensive to plan a modern and beautiful kitchen where work is easily and quickly done—a kitchen as cheerful as any room in the house! So why not have a kitchen in tune with the times? With a little thought in planning, good judgment in the purchase of your cabinets, some skill in decoration, you can achieve an arrangement of orderliness, efficiency and cleanliness against a background of restful and pleasing colors that will make kitchen work really pleasant—and much easier. The suggestions offered here dre the result of a thorough study by the Kitchen Planning Department of Curtis Companies Incorporated. ILLUSTRATED here are several important features you'll find in the line of Curtis Sectional Kitchen Cabinet Units. There are numerous others. Study these pictures and note the captions with each one. These show conveniences that make a "big hit" with busy housewives—conveniences that provide more leisure hours. You'll find all of these features only in Curtis cabinets—but few, if any, of them in cabinets made "on the job." • Curtis sectional units fit easily and quickly together. Installation time is low. All are perfectly sanded and ready for the painter's brush. The units are shipped in dust-proof cartons and arrive on the job in perfect condition—-ready for quick installation. As most people plan and build only one kitchen in a lifetime, why not make it truly modern, step-saving, beautiful? The cost will be little, if any, more than you'll pay for ordinary cabinets. But you'll enjoy a Curtis kitchen all your life. Adaptability is the keynote of the Curtis kitchen unit line. Whatever your ideas of arrangement of units, of decoration or of other kitchen fitments to be included, you can have it—"as you like it." Corner units greatly increase storage space. These are found only in Curtis cabinets. Housewives like this convenient metal bread and cake drawer, with ventilating top. Always ready for use, this ironing board is built-in in door of broom closet. Adjustable in height. All pan units have a substantial wire shelf, illustrated here. This moves in guides. A unit like this above broom closet or refrigerator provides large storage capacity. Behind the metal "cane" doors of the sink front unit, we find much worth-while storage space.
