Transcript • S^ The Spoonbill A Publication of the Ornithological Group Of the Houston Outdoor Nature Club January 2001 February Program Birding Southeastern Arizona David Bradford has traveled to southeastern Arizona on many occasions in search of birds. Since his first visit to this avian-rich area in August of 1987, he has led four tours to the area in search of birds and beautiful landscapes. Because of its close proximity to Mexico and its many "sky islands," Southeastern Arizona harbors many birds not easily found elsewhere in the United States. Tonight David will show us some of these specialties as well as some of the more common birds of Arizona. David Bradford has been leading tours throughout the United States for Penfeathers Tours since 1989. Learning Corner 6:30 p.m. Identifying Male Ducks David Bradford will guide the group through the identification of male ducks on the water. Please bring your field guide. 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2001 Bayland Community Center 6400 Bissonnet He has led birding tours to Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Maine, Texas and Washington. He is a past Houston Audubon Society board member, past President of the Ornithology Group, and present Vice President of the Houston Outdoor Nature Club.
