Transcript Jfattta$u jfatre AUGUST 31 1 9BS This is our gala 15th Annual FANTASY FAIRE ! We are planning a fabulous three-day event. We always feature films, panels, Filksinging, workshops, autograph sessions, awards and many other attractions. Last year we had the popular Environmental Theatre, where some members wore costumes and interacted with others as characters from the fantasy world. We also had a writing-for-computors workshop, the Fritz Leiber Fantasy Award and other programs. Among our guests were science fiction writers Poul Anderson, Fritz Leiber, Evangeline Walton, and Paul Edwin Zimmer. We expect to have even more exciting programs as well as honored guests at the 1985 FANTASY FAIRE! MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION An advance membership is your best value. Right now, and until March 31, 1985, one Full-time Membership (all three days) is $10. From April 1st to June 15, 1985 a membership is $15. From June 16th to August 5, 1985 a membership is $20. After August 6, a membership will be $25. All deadlines refer to post-marks. COSTUME CONTEST The Costume Contest will be held Sunday September 1st at 7 p.m. Entrants in the contest must be registered in advance & all entrants must be members of Fantasy Faire'85. The costume event registration table will be open for sign-ups on both Saturday and Sunday. All presentations will be limited to one and one-half minutes. The Costume Committee reserves the right to preview all presentations involving stunts, etc. Trophies will be presented to costume winners. MOTEL INFORMRTION Our hotel is Griswold's Inn, at 1500 South Raymond Avenue, Fullerton, Ca. Nearby is Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farms, and other Orange County attractions. Griswold's is just off the 91 Freeway and close to the Orange (57), Santa Ana(5), and Garden Grove(22) Freeways. We've obtained terrific sleeping room rates: $50 per night for a single or a double or a triple or a quad! Garden patio, swimming pool, FREE parking! ROOM CflBflRET/TflLENT SHOW The Cabaret/Talent Show will be held on Saturday, August 31st, at 7p.m. This exciting event allows YOU to participate: if you have a talent we urge you to share it with others. Please enter the show. Information phone is (818) 337-7947. This is not a contest - just a lot of fun. FflNTflSYROLE-PLRYING There will be rooms available for gamers. Also, skilled game-masters will be on hand to assist players. Books, comics, paperbacks, posters, stills, slides, jewelry, costumes, buttons, artwork, games, models, novelties and many more items of interest to the science fiction and fantasy collector - Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, " V " etc. - will be available. Room will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m".
