| Description | John O'Quinn earned his law degree from the UH Law Center in 1967. He served on the Board of Regents from 1993 to 1999 and was vice-chairman from 1994 to 1996. In 1992 he donated $4 million to the Law Center, $2.8 million of which was for the renovation of the Law Library which now bears his name. He also donated funds for the construction of the Athletic/Alumni Building. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1993. In 2002 he donated over $1 million to the capital campaign for an addition to the M.D. Anderson Library building. |
