DescriptionOne of a series of Texas Educational Agency (TEA) sponsored Civil Defense films presented in the early 60's. Manifested in these programs are the 'hot topics and concerns" challenging Texans during the Cold War. The film begins with a close up shot of a scientist dress in protective attire of some sort performing an usual experiment. A perfectly healthy rabbit was exposed to a chemical by the scientist and within a few minutes it no longer seem to be moving.(Poor Rabbit!!!) The film proceeds onto a discussion with background information with the narrator at first and progresses onto different scenes with different experts discussing a variety of topics regarding chemical and biological warfare. This film runs best using Apple's QuickTime video software. If you do not have this application on your computer it can be downloaded at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Grant FundingThis film was digitized and made available by a generous grant from the Texas State Library and Archives TexTreasure Grant.
