LYLES AND WALTER CROSS DIRECTOR ON THE RIGHT - COMMISSIONER MANN WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE ORGANIZATION OF THIS BAND - IN 1932 I PLAYED WITH THE THEN "FIRE & POLICE BAND" UNDER THE DIRECTION OF TOM FENNELL - MANY OF THE MEN PLAYED IN BOTH BANDS.
