| Description | This imposing residence, still standing at 3612 Parkwood, was built for the Weingarten Family in the lovely old Riverside neighborhood that today is referred to as part of the MacGregor Neighborhoods. The very prominent merchant family had founded Weingarten markets and then the Weingarten Real Estate Investment Company. The house, having been donated to UH, was the home of Dr. Philip G. Hoffman (1961-1977) and family during his 16 year term as the president of the University. |
