Garrison Gym was initially a men's gymnasium but now houses the Department of Health and Human Performance, an indoor pool, and general purpose classrooms. In 1980 the Board of Regents renamed the gym in honor of Susanna Garrison, the University's first female athletics coach. The building was initially occupied in 1970. The architects were Lloyd, Morgan & Jones.
