Letter to J. S. Cullinan from W. W. Moore
TitleLetter to J. S. Cullinan from W. W. Moore
CreatorMoore, W. W. (William Wright), 1872-1948
DescriptionCopy of a letter to Joseph S. Cullinan from W. W. Moore concerning a disagreement between Dr. J. W. Slaughter and Dr. Sidney Israel regarding a proposed gift of X-Ray equipment to the Houston Negro Hospital that comes from an unnamed donor and the condition that Dr. Sidney Israel be made chief of medical staff. Dr. Sidney Israel later visited W. W. Moore, angry at J. W. Slaughter for not having passed on the offer to the Advisory Board. Moore made it clear to him that they would not accept personal attacks of this kind on J. W. Slaughter, and that to accept the gift, the donor would need to be disclosed and the gift be made unconditional.
