TitleLetter to J. Y. Powell from J. W. Slaughter
CreatorSlaughter, J. W.
DescriptionA letter from J. W. Slaughter to J. Y. Powell, the chairman of the advisory committee of the Houston Negro Hospital, stating that the state committee on Nursing has decided that the hospital's nursing school will not be accredited because the lack of patients causes the training of the nurses to be deficient. Mr. J. W. Slaughter adds that, due to the same reason, the hospital cannot continue its operation, although he mentions there are strong objections to its discontinuance.
