| Transcript | Near Moulton Sept 19th./82 My Dear Son Your letters & papers to me have doubtless all come to hand I have written to you all some two or three times each - Nothing I see is said about yellow fever so I conclude Dr R will keep it out of Texas - I long to be at home altho I am feeling so well here; Nothing I eat disagrees with me - If Sam comes out he will be here by tomorr- -ow I suppose - At any rate I am parked & booked for home Saturday weather permitting - Just upon the equinoctial chance I fear that I may be detained by bad weather Yours of the 15th & one from Sam of the 17th just this moment received Love to all As ever Your Mother Mary Jones -------------------------------------------------- am thankful your ear is improving earnestly hope Dr Pope may cure how earnestly you little know MJ. |
