TranscriptDresden Oct 30th My Dear Son I reached my Sisterinlaws Monday at half past 12 Oclock found all well and glad to see me We had rather a disagreeable ride out form Corsicana as the wind was from the North and a little Cool. My health has improved every moment I have had no more of those nervious debilitated feel- ings. But feel strong and have a good appetite Ell & I both have a severe Cold tho neither of us are sick from it. We both eat our usual meals daily ---------------------------------- Please let Sallie know I all safely here [sic] and improving daily I will write more fully so soon as the friends who have collected in to see me leave, and I have more quiet Affectionately Your Mother Mary Jones [Written on last page] King regards To Mrs. Ashe Have you heard From Mrs. Gregg
