| Transcript | Sunday Morning Oct 12th 1879 My Dear Son This week has been to me an age of time as message after message had reached me from my poore Brothers family informing me of his failing health. Yesterday a Postal card came from Julia saying that he was as low as he could be, to be alive that at most he could not last but a few days longer This was dated the 8th er'e this doubtless he has pass -ed away. I received your of the 7th for two days after you left I felt quite poorly. Then for a few ----------------------------------- a few days I felt very well. But today again I am not feeling well though up. I feel as debilitated, and nervious [sic] Hope a change of weather will improve me With much love to yourself and Sam Mary Jones |
