TranscriptGal May 18th /69 My darling Son Last evening at the landing Mr. Gillett handed me your very acceptable note, I have so much to say - to you & want to see you so bad that I have determined to go up to the Burg tomorrow evening Lane goes up this evening & by him I send you these few lines & also a letter from your Uncle John Bollinger inform- ing us of our dear Henrys death I will write to them from here If I can find time. Well the much dreaded trouble of moving Georges remains is over with poor Mrs Harrison was deeply afflicted, yet now that it is over she seems cheerful again - But her health is still poor - I will bring you up an other shirt which I made last week Provide me with some place to stop while with you. I will only stay one day & nig- ht and will be glad to see Mrs Bifer while there, Tell her or send her word that I will be there all day Thursday I reserve at least a thousand things to say to you when we meet As ever your Loving Mother M Jones
