TranscriptWillis Dec. 15th 1878 My Dear Son Please send me up some money Tomorrow, as I am entirely without. I have been sick with cold, but am up again, that tho not free from aches & pains from cold & fever Mrs. Jordan was here this morning and desired me to send a message to Mary through you she says she is too upset and unsettled to write a letter but hopes to feel better after awhile she is keeping house, has a stove up in one end of the new Drug store. I will go down & see her soon Mr. Wiggins has his cotton nearly all gined and I hope will soon be ready to wind up our trade With best wishes from Your Mother Mary Jones
