TranscriptWilllis Sept 27th 1878 My Dear Son Mr. Wiggins has pla -ced in my hands all his papers Deeds & [ ] relating to his place A copy from the Abstract, so far as I can judge all is right; Dunn has promised to furnish a copy of the abstract to the seventy- two acre tract and a full claim of title &c &c Poor little Jessie is still in a very precarious con- dition, we think her symptoms more favorable today than at any time since she was taken so ill, but still her life ap- parently is hanging by a thread any unfavorable turn would take her off in a few hours I spend as much of my time with ------------------------------------------ them as I can, have set up two nights and expect to go there again tonight again; Poor Mrs. Ashe is sadly afflicted I have had nothing from Sam since you were here. Mrs Grove came into town yesterday is boarding out at Mrs. Goldings for a little while Gaston & all hands have gone up to M Waverly the speaking tro- day Political matters are still in a stir Mr. Wiggins said I could tell you to draw up the Deeds whenever you were up. And he appe ared to be satisfied with the explanations you left with me.
