| Transcript | Willis June 4th 1878 My Dear Son I write you at the request of Mrs. Jourdan &c that is we all join in asking Mr. Ashe & yourself to come up Thursday evening, so as to be here at a Tuesday dinner birthday dinner at Doct J Ns in honor of Mr. Sam Ashe Miss Mary Willie and yourself. Come if you can. We are all packed up ready to move to our new quarters so soon as Gaston & Charlie returns with some of our furniture and &c &c, we are looking for him every moment, and if he gets here by 12 Oclock we will move up this evening & by tom -orow evening will get all righted up Your statement in the Deed for the Bastrop land was perfectly correct in all respects. But this land is not any other land that has been sold here- tofore And which all the heirs joined with me in signing the Deeds. But I am satisfied if the purchaser is ------------------------------------------------ Mrs Ashe & Children are very well and all seem to be enjoying themselves Affectionately Your Mother Mary Jones |
