| Transcript | Willis April 13th./78 My Dear Son In your letter of the 7th Inst, you mentioned that you would send me some money for board soon. I would not worry you by asking for it before you may think proper to send it or perhaps before it may be convenient for you to do so but Gas -ton is depending upon what I pay him pr. month for ready money to pay off workman daily who are employed about building & other work getting his mill started Please send me tomorrow what you can spare conveniently (I mean of the $20. dollars for this present month). Yesterday Gas had the Engine moved & put under the shed that is now up, it is in fine order so he tells me, and he has given it our that he will Grind next Saturday the 20th Inst. Sallie says to tell you the Books you pur -chased are charged in the bill one dollar & ten cts. Apiece in place of 1.15 cts as you thought I have heard nothing further from Sam since writing you last ---------------------------------------------------------- I have looked for you up from what Mrs Jordan told me that you spoke of coming soon Ever Affectionately Your Mother Mary Jones I receive the Papers regularly I am glad old Tweed is dead or rather it would have been a good thing had it occurred years since |
