| Transcript | Near Moulton Sept 15th 1877 My Dear Son A few days since I wrote you that I intended to leave here for Houston about the 17th but in consequence o fhte dangerous illness of my Sisters little Son will delay starting until nest Friday or Saturday. I cannot set a day certain owing to the uncertainty of the weather at this season, very heavy rains betwen now and the days mentioned nay pre- vent my leaving, And in case I am delayed will write you again Ida the little girl I mentioned being sick has recovered. I am not feeling perfectly well myself, but now that the little Boy is better will be able to get undis turbed rest that may be the cause of my feeling badly We all felt dis- appointed that you did not come by when at the Cardwell Springs. I hope to get a letter from you today have not had one for over a Month or from Sam either Elliot keeps well Affectionately Your Mother Mary Jones. |
