| Transcript | Willis June 22nd./75 Dear Son Last Sunday Elliot had another fever, it came on about ten Oclock preced -ed perhaps by a very slight chill. Today he ahs had still an other very slight chill folowed by fever; I applied the quinine as directed & hope to keep off any more attacks But am nearly out of both Tonics, but do not what any more at present of 8482, and only want the one No. 8481 June 8th./75 I would like to have you see Dr. Burroughs and tell him of this return of fever & chills perhaps he might suggest something else, tell him there is no return of the swelling except slightly in the right testicle it being the one I called his attention to particula -rly the day he called to see me & baby. And this swelling disappears after the fevers is off. His bowels are in good condition These attacks last only about six or seven hours, then he is up & calls for something --------------------------------------------------------- to eat, his appetite is about right, not morbid. All are well Charles foot is still giving trouble tho nothing serious have nothing further from Sam, have you?? We are having very warm weather had a pretty fair rain yesterday Affectionately Your Mother Mary Jones I have reason to believe it will be necessary to keep some Tonic on hand to keep poor baby up during the hot weather to it B will be able no doubt to tell you what to get.
