Have you found the claim of title to the Ira Jones land I have been quite sick with cold and sore throat had high fevers I am up today and will soon feel as usual all the better for the five days rest I have had. Not a line from since you left. All are well except sore throats and colds; Sallie has been rather better of late. about an hour after you left an invitation came for all every- body here to a party at Mr Galliards Sallie & Gaston went rather a tame affair. Sam starts to the Burg today with about half his cotton will soon get it all off Hope to hear from you soon As ever your loving Mother Mary Jones
