TitleRichard L. Van Horn
DescriptionRichard Van Horn received a BS degree in industrial administration from Yale University, an MS degree in industrial management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD in system sciences from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration at Carnegie-Mellon University. In 1967 he joined Carnegie-Mellon as a faculty member and later became associate dean of the Graduate School of Industrial Administration. He served as president of the University of Houston from 1983 to 1989 when he departed to assume the presidency at the University of Oklahoma. He is currently Regent's Professor in the College of Business Administration, Clarence E. Page Professor of Aviation, and President Emeritus of the University of Oklahoma.
