| Title | Press Release | ||
| Description | This is a Press release from the National American Woman Suffrage Association calling to light the many questionable activities of suffrage opposers and anti-suffragettes. The press release gives several examples of how opposers of women's suffrage attempted to discredit the organization unfairly by resorting to personal attacks against President Carrie Chapman Catt and by using fraud to get men to vote and petition against women's rights (forging names of the deceased on petitions, making the illiterate signers think they were signing for something other than women's voting rights, etc.). The release also discusses the activities of particular people and organizations against suffrage, such as Neil Bonner and the German-American Alliance. | ||
